Portable Hard Disk

I need to purchase a portable hard drive.My budget is 3500...Since there are many portable hard drive available in the market...i am a bit confused.
The capacity of the hard drive must be greater or equal to 320 GB.

how about the option of making your own ? Buy a 2.5" drive and a External HDD case, and just stick the drive in the case! will save 200-300 bucks

External Case + Laptop HDD can do but then you have to go for a branded external casing. Local will reduce the transfer speed. But branded Casing like Transcend costs more which will be = My Passport / FreeAgent
