Which Laptop to buy?
Hi friends
I'll buy a laptop costing between Rs.50,000 - Rs.60,000[Can be extended around RS.68,000].
First I am confused which company's of to take? I want of Dell or any other superb company.I wanna buy of Mac's but it can't be done on this budget.
The main thing is that it should be Future-proof for at least some[4-5] years...It should have[or more than that] :-
- Processor -- Core i5 or i7's models[Fixed for Intel]
- Vedio Card -- ATI or NVIDIA [512 MB+]
- Hard Disk -- 320 GB +
- Bluetooth,WiFi, 4 USB 2.0 ports,and can also have a USB 3.0 port.
- HDMI connector
It will be mostly used for high-end gaming, running softwares[Adobe products,Autodesk products etc.] and some other things...
Things it should have :-
- A good keyboard whose keys can't be stroken out easily.
- Case should not be weak,it will have a little rugged use sometimes
- It should have a very good after sales service.
Just,it should be the best in it's range...I don't know much about Acer..IS it as good as dell???help me in choosing..

Re: Which Laptop to buy?
As per ur budget u can take HP Pavilion
Have been to Dell Sriperumbudur (Manufacturing Unit) for Dell Products which includes Laptop and Desktops for an Industrial Visit.
We had a chance to meet their Superior and wat the info we got was
International level of competition position
1. HP
2. Acer (Very close competition for 2nd rank by Acer and Dell)
3. Dell
What he stated was their Direct Marketing Strategy was a failure for them in India and now opting for Ordinary sales here. And Acer beats them only in price.
So why not u opt for Hp Pavilion which suits ur needs for gaming and for graphic designing

no...HP laptops are the worst...i've tried it...even sony vaio is far better than it....
i think of going for --> Dell Latitude E6410
it is priced in my budget and reviews says it very good...by the way,how much powerful is intel HD integrated vedio card??it says that it is very powerful and can give up to 1.7GB memory when needed...so howz it??

Re: Which Laptop to buy?
I would suggest you against purchasing a laptop for "high-end gaming" as you have mentioned in your post. IMHO laptops cannot take that much load due to lot of heat generated while playing games. I have seen my friends' Dell and HP laptop gone kaput while playing "Rise of Nations" only, and I suppose you would like to play some more graphic enriched games...just be careful...

thanks for listening man...
one of them having Dell Inspiron switched to Macbook, other guy got his lappy repaired...but his HDD data was lost for ever...I didn't know that laptop's HDD costs nearly double than that of a PC!!! But his laptop's performance was never same, I mean he still have to use external cooling unit, his battery also took a hit, gives zero minute backup lol
