Default External hard disk

Hello. I wanna buy an external hard disk. My budget is 2500-3200. I need a good transfer speed. No power adapter. It must be 160GB or 250GB. Dont know to go for Seagate or WD.

Do u want it to be USB powered or auxiliary power source is no issue for you?

If USB powered, Transcend 320GB selling @2855/- in eBay
If external powered, Maxtor is selling 500GB drive @3470/- in eBay

Seagate Free Agent Go and WD Passport Essential 320 GB both are available at around Rs. 3000 to 3200. I have the Passport Essential myself and it's all right, but a friend has FreeAgent Go 500 GB drive and it does feel more compact than my WD drive. Seagate also has 5 years warranty, while WD has 3 years warranty.
