Hi ajai5777,

I'm currently using Altec Lansing 251 5.1 Speakers since 2006 so do you think Creative Inspire T6100 will be a good upgrade? Can you please tell the size of your woofer?

Thankyou.

Its pretty decent as a 5.1.Then why do u upgrade it? T6100 is only a slight upgrade to that system. But its good at 3.6k.

your model has 2X 6.5W front speakers,2X 7.2W Rear,7.6W Centre and 25W Sub.

T6100 has 4X 8W Satellites, 18W Centre and 26W Sub.

Only major upgrades are 18W centre and tweeters in front satellites.18W centre is good for 5.1 movies dialogues and its horizontal type.It can be placed in front of the monitor.

Have a look at my setup

Hey
If ur Budget is in 3000-5000 Then i will suggest Logitech X540.

Check its review and some Videos On it In You tube.

In Logitech x540 Some FDD techniques are used which are Good to reduce the reproduction (ECho) which normally come our House Rooms Because of the Reflections from walls.

u can see That All the Satelite speaker are Having 2 speaker in those , wich really is very nice thing.
you will not get this Type of Speaker system having 2 tweeters in each Satelite speaker in 5.1

I will see take demo of Creative t series and Logitech x540 and then only Buy.

but i prefer Logitech X540.
happy Shopping!

I bought Logitech X540 few months back and I'm quite happy with it. Use it primarily for gaming and movies.

for movies and music, creative 6100 is probably better. because of the tweeter with more clear and crisper sound and it has good bass.
