ATI Radeon HD4850 Query
After a long wait, i am finally buying ATI radeon HD4850 next month. I want to ask if its going to run fine on my config.
PSU : CLI Odyssey 450w
Mobo : ECS ATA 100 945GCTM2 with x16 PCIe Slot - 1
Ram : 2GB DDr2
CPU : Intel C2d 2.0 Ghz
No A.C in my room . Do overheating problems exist for this card?
I know the config of the card. It suits me the best in 7-8k budget for all my needs
Just want to know that if it will run fine on the above mobo and PSU.
I have checked ATI site for the requirements of the card. My pc fulfills all of them, just need your advice.
Thanks in Advance !!!

Re: ATI Radeon HD4850 Query
My specs are in front of you, suggest me a good Dx11 card in that budget please ! I want Ati or nVidia only coz of the fact that in Linux, you may have hard time installing Gfx drivers sometimes

Re: ATI Radeon HD4850 Query
^^
For 8k you can go for a hd 5750 based card from sapphire,msi or powercolour.Adding 1k more will get you the hd 5770 which performs even better. Both cards outpace the 4850 easily so making a decision here is a no brainer but i think you have to change that psu into a more substantial one.
Go for FSP Saga II 500 watts within 3k or gigabyte superb 460 @ 2.2k.

Re: ATI Radeon HD4850 Query
first change the psu to any good branded company
most probably fsp saga II 500w <3k
then think of an graphic card
sapphire 5670----->5.5k
biostar 5770------>8.6k
choose from these cards

Re: ATI Radeon HD4850 Query
for 8k:
Sapphire HD5670 512Mb @ 5.4k
FSP Saga II 400W @ 2.2k
both from MediaHome. also do consider OC that proccy. its too slow.

Re: ATI Radeon HD4850 Query
400 W psu is too less imo.get a 600W psu atleast.. + 4850 aint bad but a dx11 card will do well

WTF, what 600W at least? OP won't go for 2 X HD4850 in Xfire. a 400W (good) PSU will b enough. yes that can b said for cheap desi PSU or Extreme Power. a Corsair VX450W can tun a HD4870 easily with a power hungry processor & suitable motherboard. nothing like that 600W minimum. that absolute wrong idea of power wattage.

better b on safer side buddy. why risk that PSU. i seen that PSU on Lynx. its cheap one (comparable to Zebronics). it may run but theres every chance it'll blow up, if not the PSU, the card surely.
