Default The cheapest 780G/785G motherboard

My friend is buying a computer & his budget is very limited. He has chosen the following with my help:

AMD Athlon II X2 245/250 @ 3k
2 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM @ 2.5k
WD 500 GB HDD @ 2k
Cabinet - 1k

He wants that games do run on his PC, just run, even at a low resolution & low settings would do. So I suggested a 780G or 785 G chipset motherboard as people here suggest that. But I don't know much about specific models of motherboards. So please suggest a cheap motherboard which supports DDR3 RAM.

Also, please tell me if 1GB DDR3 modules are available.

get the biostar TA785G3 HD. OC the IGP & it'll act like a entry level card with 2Gb DDR3 ram. also 785G support DDR3. not seen any 780G with DDR3.

OK, this mobo looks good, wonder how I missed it. I was browsing lynx-india too. Thanks Sam. This one has 128 MB sideport memory too.

The 1 GB module is way too expensive, better to get a 2 GB one for extra 800 bucks. thanks rahul.007

My friend doesn't know much about hardware (actually he knows nothing, few days back he didn't even know what a gfx card was! until I explained it to him). So he would not OC & i won't do it the first time on someone else's PC. But I think this mobo will suffice for his needs, he won't play any FPSs, prince of persia's are less demanding.

What's the difference between TA785G3 & TA785G3 HD?

Yes, I noticed later on, it has better connectivity options. Price difference between the 2 is not much, so the HD would be better.

price difference is around Rs.300 (HD is available for 4.1k, in few places).
