Default LCD (Samsung or Dell)

I am going to buy new LCD in next 3-4 days but bit confused which one to buy, my budget is 8000-8500 and I wants to buy LCD of 18.5-19 inch options are Samsung or Dell only as I don't like any other company, so can you guys tell me which one is good to buy ?

Currently looking for Samsung B1930N, any other option with same budget ?

Dont get B1930N.Its maximum resolution is 1368 X 768. Its price is 6.5k.You can get a Full HD monitor in that budget.

Go for Samsung B2230 21.5" @ 8.7k

Its resolution is 1920 X 1080 its full HD and its response time is 5ms.But samsung dont label it as full HD.

But a 2250 with 1920 X 1080 having 2ms response time is labelled as Full HD.
I dont get this.Is 2ms or less is necessary for full HD?

Why do you want to get an 18" monitor when a 22" will cost just a little bit more?

I will suggest you get Benq or Samsung. Look for full HD resolution 1920x1080 - that is the norm in 22" category...

@above - man my P2250 having 2ms response time...BUT it aint laballed as HD (no word close to it.)

Maybe the difference is - having an HDMI port (which my monitor doesnt have)

Told my dad to get Full HD monitor / but hes a n00b when it comes to technology

Man your monitor is labeled as Full HD by samsung.
Check this
Samsung P2250

With or without label 1920 X 1080 is full HD.You can play bluray movies and game in HD resolution.

Ok...thanks for letting me know, it was never written anywhere in the bill, or on the montior box.. Usually i see anything High - Definition (from cameras to monitors) having a [HD] label sticker...nothing on this monitor...

I bot Dell st2210 FULL HD price 8500 hdmi port ( without speakers) - > low power consumtion, for home use. Monitor is good.

you can go with dell s2209W same as Dell st2210, price ~8400 but no hdmi port , high power consumption , for gaming

Samsung p2250 price more than 9000 no hdmi port , high power consumption , for gaming

If you compare above models

1] Samsung got gud response time (2ms) where as dell 5ms
2] Dell st2210, less power consumption compared to samsung
3] dell comes with antiglear screen .. wher as sumsung dosent.
4] Pricing dell is less compared to samsung

The only plus point i see with samsung is response time .. choice is yours..

I suggest Dell st2210 but if you are more into gaming then go for p2250 with little increase in your budget.
