Saphire HD 4670 GDDR3 HDMI @ 4.4k
best would be Sapphire HD 5670 GDDR5 DX11 @5.4k

i2 heard such a rumor. but maybe it was just a typo. Metal Head Gautam quoted HD4670 available for that price. but street price is 4-4.5k. you may try get your hands on HD5570 if found for 4.5k. performance wise, both are same. just price matters

That must be a mistake its HD 4650 512MB DDR2 @2.9k

---------- Post added at 05:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 PM ----------

No 4670 with DDR2 ram and Nothing under 4k

---------- Post added at 05:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:04 PM ----------

HD 5570 is faster than HD 4670.Also it has got DX11
Then go for HD 5570 512MB DDR3 @ 4.4k

I don't think GDDR4 exists, go for a 512MB or 1GB GDDR3 card. should cost around 4-4.3k in Kolkata. available at Saboo, Bengal Chemical building on G. C. Avenue.

I'd never heard of any GDDR4 card, so I thought it had been skipped in favour of GDDR5. If it does, then it must be better than GDDR3.

GDDR4 was used only in HD3870 & 3870X2. maybe Sapphire got some old stock of GDDR4 left so using it here.

@OP, each manufacturers make many variants of same card & getting each one available is not easy. even if Sapphire card freely available in India, many cards from Sapphire itself are not. so pre-planning may give you a little sad time. do a market survey before jumping on any particular card.

yes, when I was looking for the same card, Many shops said they did not have the card. many of them didn't have GT 220 DDR3 either. saboo offered the lowest price on 4670 1GB DDR3, but that was Palit or XFX card, don't remember very well.
Eventually I didn't buy the card cuz I figured I would have to change the PSU too for which I did not ahve money & did not want to go for anything lower than 4670.

It was this forum itself which made me feel that I should change my PSU, it's a frontech 450W. I didn't want to take any risk as my computer is kept in such a way that it is always 2-3 degrees hotter than normal & i can find no way to move it.
