Default CORE i3 or core I5

I want to buy a laptop with budget 50k...I want to use it for programming, entertainment, gaming....I am confused with core i3 or core i5 if the laptop has good decent graphics card from Ati or nVidia and 3 or 4 GB ram and 500 GB 7200rpm hDD...? which lappy to buy with processor..?
Does that turbo boost from core i5 really affect very much to performance or core i3 is well and good...
please guide..

Core i5 is a quad core whereas Core i3 is dual core processor. So performance difference is bound to be huge. So go for i5 based lappy. However, if you don't get an i5 with gfx card, it will be better to get i3 with gfx card as that will give better gaming performance.
As far as HDD is concerned, i don;t think there are many lappys with 7200rpm HDDs as the power requirement of these is higher, not good for battery life.

The i5 430m is not a quad core cpu but a dual core with hyperthreading that can simultaneously process upto 4 threads. Only the core i5 750 which is a desktop processor is a true quad core having 4 physicall cores sans hyperthreading.
