Default amd troubles

i want to upgrade my pc and i had asked for suggestions in the forum and as my need was for around 25000 many suggested amd config. am from kerala and when i went to the stores they tell me that there are problems with amd .
i went to many dealers and they all say that amd has problems with the high humidity climate here and would show reliability issues after sometime.
Now i want to know if its true. please help me.
and thanks in advance to all my friends willing to help.

Or maybe intel offers them a special fee for saying that.

not true! for better & more insight google it!
they'll be getting more margin/profit selling Intel so must be telling you that!

yeah, Intel does that, paying the retailers for not selling AMD. Just go for an AMD config as intel will increase your budget by atleast 4k without much improvement in performance. Retailers often try to mislead buyers, never go by their suggestions, that too after you have consulted digit forum. I know many people who are using AMD and Kolkata also has a pretty humid climate, no problems.
Insist on AMD. also they'll try to change your other decisions also. microsoft in place of logitech, transcend in place of corsair or kingston, samsung in place of seagate, viewsonic in place of dell etc. are the most common suggestions that retailers give, don't listen to them at all.

Man I am from kerala.Just have a look at my config. Its AMD.AMD rules middle and low end segment.People in kerala are very backward in technology. That statement is the case 5years ago.Now its AMD time. When I purchased my first rig 5years ago,AMD wasnt even in picture. But after p4 Now I am having AMD.Price to performance ratio is much greater in AMD.Also the quality parts referred from here isnt easily available in kerala. But its not an excuse to get a bad config. You need to search for good dealers, shops etc. consider buying individual parts from different shops.

Never ever ask anything to retailer. They always give wrong info. You just go with the planned rig and ask them if its available or not,If not just move on.Dont consider replacing parts according to availability.

I saw your other thread too, if you are on a budget below 30k, it is better to go for an AMD config as you'll be able to squeeze in a graphics card too. Intel won't leave that space for you

WTF. remember Indian PC dealers = *@$#%$. they just know sales should be good, their pocket should be filled. i too heard many rumors AMD bad, don't buy AMD, blah blah blah. i'll just say they are jackass. if u go by the dealers words, better i repeat a line i found in Skoar a few years back "go out your house, find the tallest building in your area. climb to top of it (of coarse by pipe ) & jump & do the peoples a favor". won't mention AMD. you already have good idea about it. i can see from your words.

if you happy with Core2Duo. DDR2 ram. G4* graphics. go with Intel. just you'll get outdated stuff. it won't have huge impact on performance but you'll be on sure loss. paying more & getting almost half performance.

NOTE: please don't take my words seriously. just was telling what the Indian PC dealers sells to the typical Indian PC customer.

Retailers are having contract with some brands but not with all.If we ask for a monitor HDD etc.they will suggest their own brands and they will promote it.They are not getting enough margin by selling individual parts.Their main profit is the target thing. When they reach the target for a particular brand they will get bonus.

But in other case, when you ask something that not in their list and you are ready to move on, they will make it available to you by their connections with other retailers in city. Then they will take margin like 50 or 100 bucks.
No target thing is here so no bonus.I have seen this very much and this is happening with most retailers.

i live in jamshedpur (JHARKHAND) and recently i bought a tft lcd monitor (samsung P2350) and for that i travelled all the way to RANCHI (DHONI HOMETOWN )... because here in my home town i seached all the computer shops and wasted 5-6 days even the samsung dealers were insisting me to purchase 22inch monitor i.e P2250,some computer shop people told me that its a very old monitor which m asking (P2350) and the company does't produce this monitor now so they told me to buy P2250 or viewsonic but i made my mind and went all the way to ranchi n bought this killer monster monitor and m quite happy with its performance.
