Question Suggest casing with eSATA + USB for 3.5" HDD

I want to buy a casing which has both eSATA and USB 2.0 connectivity.
Suggest some brand and also the approximate price.
Will the power adapter be provided with the casing? Are USB Y type cables enough to power a 3.5" drive?

Are the chinese casings good? (I wont be moving the drive around, it will be in one fixed place)

By the way, will I be able to connect a PATA drive to the casing or will I have to buy another converter cable or separate casing for that? I have a 5year old PATA drive lying around.

Default Re: Suggest casing with eSATA + USB for 3.5" HDD

1. Power adapter comes with the casing.
2. Y cables are not meant for powering 3.5" HDDs.
3. Depends..there are a lot of good Chinese casings but they cost a decent amount too..unlike the cheap ones...
4. PATA connection only with PATA Casing...SATA only with SATA unless you buy something of this sort:

For details you may check:

If you need both USB and eSATA then you can also consider the HDD docking stations like:

The docking stations are much better than the regular casing (IMHO) in case it is supposed to be kept at one place...and it can handle both 2.5" as well as 3.5" HDDs.
