^+1 for XBOX Game Pad.
It fits in your budget and is good. Also various gamepads are also available from Logitech and Twinshock.

Re: Gaming Pad :)
I haven't used one but often seen people recommending Xbox gamepad at various places. So I think it is a good controller. Logiitech wireless is available for around Rs. 2500. You can consider that too as logitech's input devices are known for their accuracy.

Re: Gaming Pad :)
^ as said XBOX controllers come in Wired & Wireless both models. If you buy wireless then you have to spend over batteries and if you choose wired then it will be great.
and BTW. my name is Varad

Re: Gaming Pad :)
Well i started with Fifa and bought it mainly for that. then i started playing Gears of war with it and faced problem aiming with the controller. But then after some days of playing i am facing problem not playing with the controller. Now i cant imagine playing without it.
Go for any game and even if u have played it before ... you will enjoy it again

ppl hate wireless mouse for gaming caz of the wireless lag. same is true for wireless controller , there has to be some lags.
however if you don't play fast games (like those shooing FPS/TPS) you may not feel that bad.
