Default Will DDR2 RAM work on DDR3 supporting motherboard.

Guys I m planning to get a new motherboard for my processor: AMD X2 250.
Is there any Motherboard that supports both DDR2 and DDR3 types memory. I have a 2GB of brand new DDR3 memory lying in my house and i have a 3months old 2GB DDR2 memory. Now is there anyway i can use both these memories on one board.
Please tell me do DDR3 supporting motherboards support DDR2 memory????

Thanks For Your help Guys.

MSI 790GX-8D supports both DD2 and DD3
Jetway MA3-79GDG also serves the purpose

They will cost more than 6k.I would suggest you to sell your ddr2 ram and to go for a 785G based motherboard.

You wanna use both DDR2 and DDR3 memory simultaniously?? Mind you even if the board supports both DDR2 and 3, if you use them both on a same board, DDR3 would work on the speed of DDR2 (Timings should match)........so practically you would limit your DDR3 if you use it with DDR2......

And I am a bit skiptical if a Board support both typs of RAMs, coz AFAIK there is a physical difference between both the RAMs......

It supports DDR3/2. But they cannot be used together. So you either mount DDR3 DIMMs or DDR2 DIMMs. They cannot be mixed.

See this link.

So there IS a physical diffeence that is why different slots.....so I was correct on that part.....I can see it on the snap provided the notches are at different length......
