Help for Best 17'' TFT Monitor ASAP

I am using 15" HCL CRT Monitor since 6 years. I had repaired it once for some color problems.Now again its giving a white horizontal line 25% below from the top of screen & 25% top area of screen goes black. So I decided to buy new 17" TFT monitor. I have Intel 82845GV graphic controller. Currently my monitor suppoerts 85Hz refresh rates only at 800x600 resolution. 1024x768 only support 60Hz refresh rate. Not sure whether my 82845GV graphics controller supports 1024x768 at 85Hz refresh rate for bigger resolution 17" or 19" TFT monitor or not.

Anyhow I am sure to buy a new 17" TFT monitor this weekend. Plssssssss help me frnd to buy the best 17" TFT monitor available in India. Also if there is any latest reviews for the 17" TFT monitory specifying the best 1 to buy like digit magazine does for different products every month....then plss let me know.....

What is your criteria? quality? or budget?
For quality go for Dell Or Samsung.
For budget go for AOC or benq
But all these are equally gud IMO

i have the same problem....i have hcl beanstalk PC.(which is 5yr. old) with HLC HCM 780M 17inch monitor) which is giving the same problem.so i'm also thinking of buying a new monitor asap. i m thinking of buying Samsung P2350 LCD Monitor. so if anyone knows the current price and exact review of this monitor please inform me plss reply me soon..

Samsung P2350 is in between 10-11k not more that 11.5k, As the quality it is top notch.

But it lacks connectivity....no HDMI but u can always use a converter for it,

Now to solve this problem Samsung recently launched P2370MS....Which have all connectivity one can think of....

check out



Comes with IR-Remote, Cost around MRP 16k and more screen space than P2350.

If anyone need connectivity P2370MS is the answer.

thankz man 4 ur quick reply..... but i think i'll stick wit P2350 coz y'terday i went to a shop. he told me the price of P2350 is Rs 9000. and my budget is around Rs 9000 To Rs 10000

your graphics controller seems to be very old, make sure it supports wide-screen resolutions before buying the monitor. If it is less than 4 years old, you can ignore this suggestion

actually may be next month i'll buy a new P.C. (coz next month i'm having my B'day) so before buying a new P.C i'm thinking of purchasing P2350 to test with my old Beanstalk
