Default A very very basic PC

I need to make a VERY basic PC for my friend who is a accounts person, he will be using it mainly for Tally, MS-Office and some music and nothing more than that. He has already got a CRT monitor and doesn't want to spend more than 10K for new PC which will be future proof for at least 2yrs.

I have decide following config for him (for rough price), but could not get right MB+Processor

160/250GB HDD WD/Samsung 1500
1GB RAM Kingston 1200
ATX Cabinet 1000
KB+Mouse 450
2.0 Speaker 400
-------------------------------------------
Total 4550
So now I need a MB+Processor that costs about 5500 in total.

Is my decision of getting Intel Pentium Dual Core E5400 2.7Ghz right or should I go for AMD Athlon II 240/245 2.8/2.9Ghz.

Please suggest a suitable Processor and Motherboard.

Thanks in advance.

No DVD Writer needed?
X2 240+cheaper nvidia motherboard should suffice, will set you back by 5k approx
if you go for the above mentioned biostar models, with proccy they will cost about 5.5k

If you want something more basic, try the Intel D945GCLF, that's a motherboard + intel atom processor built in, for around Rs 3000. will be more then enough for basic tasks, nothing more though
