Here goes ur budget pc under Rs. 35000 .
Processor:- amd athlon II x4 620 - rs. 4800

Motherboard:- biostar TA785G3 HD - rs. 4300

RAM:- kingston 2gb ddr3 1333 mhz. - rs. 2500

Graphics card:- sapphire radeon hd 5750 - rs. 7000 approx.(dnt knw the current price)

HDD:- seagates barracuda 7200.12 500gb - rs. 2300

Optical drive:- LG DVD WRITER for rs. 1100

PSU:- gigabyte superb 460w - rs. 2200

Cabinet:- nzxt gamma - rs. 2000

UPS:- APC 550VA - rs. 1900

TOTAL Rs. 28100
The graphics card u selected is not good for playing games. As u have already have a 17" monitor, the suggested graphics card will run ur games on high settings at 1280 x 1024.
Also one more thing, if ur budget of rs.35000 is without considering the monitor then, change the processor to amd phenom II x2 555 BE for rs. 5100 , motherboard to MSI 785g e53 for rs. 5500 AND PSU to corsair vx450 for 3800 &
also add another 2gb ram stick.
TOTAL will become rs. 33700.
You can unlock the processor to a phenom II x4 or atleast x3....

nicely done

however change PSU to Corsair CX400W. much better. cause i doubt Gibby wil be able handle Phenom II X2---(unlock)--->Phenom II X4 + HD5750. ok, heres the config i feel good for OP:

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 630: 5k //Phenom II X2 555 3.2GHz B.E if u can find//
Motherboard: Biostar TA785G3 HD: 4.3k //MSI 785G-E53 @ 5.5k, if purchasing X2 555, else no//
Ram: Transcend 2 X 2Gb DDR3-1333Mhz: 5.4k
Hard Disk: Western Digital 500Gb Blue: 2.3k
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD5670 512Mb Arctic Cooler: 5.2k //Sapphire HD5750 1GB GDDR5 @ 8.2k, only if u got monitor upgrade plans//
Optical Drives: LG GH22NS50: 1.1k
PSU: Corsair CX400W: 2.8k
Cabinet: NZXT Gamma + 1X120mm fan: 2.6k //add a good 120mm fan for better air circulation. i prefer Xigmatek CLF 120mm white LED fan//
Keyboard Mouse: Logitech Internet Pro Desktop: 0.6k
UPS: APC BACK-UPS ES 650VA: 2.8k

total: ~32k in getting the one simply mentioned.

^+1 Much better config than yours. Go for the 555BE rather than 630/620. Most 555BE's can be unlocked(I hope you know that).

Well....Now you have 3k left. So I'd suggest to utilize that by going with Corsair VX450 PSU. Though at this config you won't need it. But I'm considering it for your later upgrades.

add to it, one getting 5years rebate on tension on his/her PC's health, which are mostly caused by bad PSU rather than entry level mobos/proccies, which most peoples point out.

Thank you for replying.
But tell me why is the graphics card not good?
Is it because my LCD monitor is old and not compatible with the graphics card or because the graphic card i suggested HD 5570 is not a good card.

I had no idea that 555BE's can be unlocked.
I goggled it and read about it.
Unlocking the cores that is advanced user stuff, i don't know much about overclocking so it is not for me.

I read that the only diffrence between AMD Phenam II x4 and AMD Athlon II x4 is the L3 cache. I am not a power user, it wont make much of a diffrence to me.

My best buddy can relate to that. He once had a P4 system die due to a bad PSU.

I don't plan to upgrade my monitor, at least not in the near future.
So does that mean me investing in a graphic card at this time is a waste.
Or is there still hope cause my monitor does have DVI-D, so i guess i can connect the graphics card to that.
My question is will it work. Will it display HD videos and what kind of video resolution can i watch on my current LCD monitor? For example 320p, 720p, 1080p....... will i be able to watch these HD displays.

THX Guys for helping me out.

HDD: Western Digital 500Gb Blue: 2.3k

Graphics Card: Sapphire HD5670 512Mb Arctic Cooler. 5.2k
@Sam.Shab
Can you point out the Model number of this card or post a link so that i can have a look at the exact specs....... And also instead of 512MB is there a HD 5670 DDR3 1G? Does the performance vary a lot between 512MB and 1GB?

PSU: I think i want to go for a Corsair 550vx PSU. Just to be safe. Can someone get me the cost of this PSU.

DDR3 RAM
: I would love to go for Kingston. Can someone get me the cost of DDR3 1333MHz Valur RAM from Kingston.

not enough horsepower. also pricing is bad, comes very close to HD5670. which is ~2X more powerful. moreover u got a 17" display. so a HD5670 should suffice.

not advance at all. simply turning on a option in bios wil unlock it. simple. moreover if some help needed, TDF always there.

well u right. Athlon II's are for normal usage. Phenom II's add more horse power. so its upto u. do u really need extra horsepower. are u power user? gamer? if yes, Phenom II, X4 specially will help. else stick to Athlon II X4 or Phenom II X2 (bargain considering it will unlock to X3 or X4, free of charge).

not waste. buy it now only. however buying a very high end card that when a upper lowend is good, is a bad decision.

if u simply want watch video, IGP should be able handle. however a addon card will take load off your proccy. also HD5670 is more than u need to watch HD movies. however it is currently very good value in 5k segment.

Biostar is a good company & are boards are usually priced very nicely. however if u can get MSI's 785GM E53 within your budget & also getting a graphics card, i see no particular reason look at bio*.

also try get X2 555 BE (not 550 BE). else get X4 630. X4 620 & 630 pricing very close. so opt for 630.

SAPPHIRE HD 5670 512MB GDDR5.

the performance difference between 1Gb & 512Mb too less to spend extra 1k or so for extra memory. cause HD5670 not enough powerful to utilize all the 1Gb GDDR5 memory. half of it will be sitting idle. also i suggested Sapphire cause of its cooler. it got a Premium Arctic cooler. will keep card cool even on hot summer days & pricing is lower than others (spell double bargain)

VX550W too much for your rig. even CX400W will be enough. get VX450W. its very good value & can power your rig even with a more powerful card & proccy.

1 dumb question that keeps hitting me
how do we know that "this" graphic card will be able to use its 1 gb memory or not?does it depends on its clock rate?or number of ALUs?

@by the numbers
go for vx 450W , its enough and good
regarding gfx card, opt for hd 5750(much better option for ur future)

rest of all seems cream!!

i don't see it to be dumb question from any angle. actually well laid out problem.

actually theres many things to consider:

1. SIMD. too less SIMD to keep all memory busy. most suitable card to use 1Gb full memory is HD5770. it got right balance of power & memory. its like transporting a TV from shop to your house. u not need truck for that task. a car/van will do just fine.

2. bus width. 128bit enough for lower midrange cards. cause they not need transfer lots of data. u can put a HD5670 in a 512bit bus but at most u'll have a performance gain, u won't feel until u start counting each frames. add to it, more bus width, cost of GPU will go up. its similar to the above example. u not need a 4 lane highway for your local colony. a single street road enough. got my point?

also less memory, cooler & cheaper & less power consuming graphics card.

he can't opt for HD5750. it'll be out of his budget & also he not avid gamer. so HD5670 will be good enough i feel.
