Wanna upgrade PC
Hi guys
Wanted some help about upgradation of my pc.
My current outdated configuration is :
Processor : intel P4 CPU 2.4GHz
motherboard : ASUS P4GE-MX
RAM : 768MB DDR
SMPS : 250W
HDD : 80GB IDE HDDs
gfx card : Nvidia FX5500 256MB AGP
Samsung DVD writer
Cabinet
Among this I just want to change Processor ,motherboard,RAM,SMPS,HDD,Cabinet. This PC will be used for Programming not Gaming and will have Database like MSSql ,Oracle. My budget is around 17k-20k.
According to market i roughly made some configuration.I want some suggestion or better configuration within budget.
And where i can get them in mumbai (if anybody tells the any prefered distributor address it will be grateful).
My rough onfiguration :

Motherboard :Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2h
RAM :2*2 GB
HD :250-500 gb
SMPS :VIP400W
Cabinet :Zebronics anitboitic

Motherboard: Biostar TA785G3 HD
Ram: Transcend 2 X 2Gb DDR3-1333Mhz
Hard Disk: Western Digital 500Gb Blue
PSU: FSP Saga II 400W
Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 310 or 360. not much use going for Zebronics stuff.
total: ~21k. buying this u'll be futureproof. buying your way, u'll get multiple craps. your choice buddy.

thats why i suggested his a better PSU. even though VIP rates the PSU at 400W & 80% efficiency, its nothing but a CM Extreme Power Bomb that won't go up. so a 400W PSU won't give more than 300W typically. add to it, 1yr of regular usage, the power will come down to 270-280W. & add more HDD & some stuffs to it, and PC's power will cross PSU's output capability. and than things will start fail from one end.

really really cool. i specially liked the Beta EVO & M59. rest of the series are damn costly. however for performance users, NZXT got a mid cost cabby. NZXT PanzerBox. complete steel cabby.

Motherboard: Biostar TA785G3 HD: 4.3k
Ram: Transcend 2 X 2Gb DDR3-1333Mhz: 4.5-6k (varies from region to region)
Hard Disk: Western Digital 500Gb Blue: 2.2-2.3k
PSU: FSP Saga II 400W: 2-2.3k
Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 310: 1.6k (not the transparent side panel one) or Elite 360: 2.1k. or may go for NZXT Gamma @ 2.1k

no problem, but u were like the odd advertisement showing up on all threads. hope problem finally solved. M59 is coolest cabby i seen till date that also under 4k. bad news is that it sells here for 3.7-3.8k whereas in NewEgg/USA it sells for same price as gamma.

can u suggest me,
which should i choose
if there is choice between AMD athlon 2 X3 and athlon 2 X4. (I know the diff between X3(triple) and X4(quad) had read about it on wikipedia).
But don't know about their performance and reviews.
Also i saw your replys on some thread, u suggested on some thread to go for AMD X3.
Can u tell me best buy-performer processor with respect to AMD -mobo combination.(9k-10k range).
I want to fix my decision with full filled search and enquiry before buying.
I hope u don't mind.

X3 if u going game on the PC & u short on budget. X4 is better at multitasking. however X3 is a hybrid. 3 cores. good at games. good at multitasking. can unlock to X4, if lucky.
X3 435 + Biostar TA785G3 HD (its 128Mb sideport really helpful): 4+4.3k. if going for X4, get the X4 630.

u can easily get 4 cores+785g based mobo within 10k
get the mobo the sam suggested
for proccy go for x4 630
if cant possible within 10 k
then go for x4 620

Sam.Shab and Piyush,you guys help me a lot.
Suddenly there is problem with samsung CRT monitor (syncmaster 793MB).
Display problem has arised its has become reddish.Even by color mgmt it is not giving proper display.
to repair Should i refer to samsung customer care OR any local crt display repair.
