DVD drive doesn't play Digit DVDs

I am a Digit subscriber.
I have an LG DVD writer drive. I have been using it since two years.

In Dec 2009, I upgraded my system and ever since, the DVD drive refuses to run any of the Digit DVDs.
I am quite at my wits end trying to solve the prob.

I know the problem does not lie with the DVD drive as it loads other DVDs and CDs fine.

I am using Win XP SP3 with a resolution of 1024 x 768.

My config is as follows -
2 x 1GB @ 800 MHz Kingston RAM
Cooler Master 460W PSU
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L
C2D E7400 2.8 Ghz
ZOTAC GTX 260

Can any one please help me to solve this problem?

Kindly check your optical drive using Dual-Layer DVDs (8.4GB)

The Digit DVDs are dual-layer media hence try with some other brand/make.

Quite possible.

...but my drive ran Digit DVDs prior to Dec 09 i.e. before I upgraded. Digit DVDs have been dual layered ones since much before that, I guess.

Also, could you recommend a good, inexpensive DVD writer?
