Default PC upgrade [low budge]

hi. i have 5 year old PC with following config:
Processor : intel celeron D 2.4GHz
mobo : MSI P4MAM2-V
RAM : 768MB DDR
SMPS : 250W
HDD : 80+20GB IDE HDDs
monitor : HP 17' LCD
gfx card : Nvidia FX5500 256MB AGP
LG DVD writer

it sucks now and i need something which can play games like GTA4, COD MW2, bioshock, assassins creed at 1024X768 and atleast 18 fps. [i dont care graphics and future proofing. it is all about cheapest components]

i have planned this

processor : AMD athlon II X2 240
mobo : [i cant remember model , it was available for Rs2200]
RAM : 2GB DDRII [i will upgrade to 4GB after few months]
HDD : same old IDE 80GB HDD [i will upgrade to 500GB in few months]
gfx card : XFX 9400GT 1 GB or 9500GT 512MB [i will try to get 9500GT]
SMPS : 400W VIP or similar 400W smps

is this setup is good for gaming at 1024X768 with 18fps [and balencing best possible eye candy]
any suggestions??
i am upgrading this with my pocket money [and little help from parents] so i cant spend too much.

processor : AMD athlon II X2 240 ---> ok.
mobo : [i cant remember model , it was available for Rs2200] ---> get Biostar TA785G3 HD.
RAM : 2GB DDRII [i will upgrade to 4GB after few months] ---> get 2Gb DDR3.
HDD : same old IDE 80GB HDD [i will upgrade to 500GB in few months]
gfx card : XFX 9400GT 1 GB or 9500GT 512MB [i will try to get 9500GT] ---> drop this. use IGP for now.
SMPS : 400W VIP or similar 400W smps ---<> nice one.

ok total damage will be: 2.8 + 4.3 + 2.8 + 1.4 = 11.3k. will be competitive with 9400GT but slower than 9500GT.

who said???? it will be well enough to play these games at 1024*768 without all the eye candies.... and you only said that you don't mind low fps.... it will give playable frame rates.... buying a cheap gpu and later on dumping it is not recommended.... better buy sam's config and later on when you have the budget add a good discreet gpu....

yup. 785G = a slow 790GX, which u using. so if u can play MW2 & some other games @ 1024 X 768, high. 785G can run same at 1024X768, mid/low. so OP get the config i suggested.

also don't dump your PSU of choice i.e. VIP 400W & get CM Extreme Power 400W or so. VIP much better than CM bombs.

:roll::roll:

myself using it with my current config.... well its taking it smoothly but i wouldn't ever do the mistake of fitting a gpu with it.... i also have gigabyte 460w active pfc but after seeing so many bad reviews about cm extreme power just thought to test it....
