Processor: AMD Athlon II 630 @ 4.7k
Motherboard: MSI 785GM-E51 @ 4.6k
Ram: Kingston 2 X 2 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 5.2k
HDD: Seagate 1 TB with 32 MB Cache @ 3.9k
Display: BenQ 24" G2420 FULL HD LCD Monitor @ 11.3k
PSU: Gigabyte 80 Plus Active PFC 460W @ 2.2k
Cabinet: NZXT Gamma @ 2k
Keyboard and Mouse: @ your choice @ 1k
DVD Writer: LG 22X SATA @ 1.2k

Now for graphics card the onboard Graphics (4200 with 128 MB DDR3 sideport) is enough to run Full HD blue ray or H264 encoded movies. But at a 24" monitor even casual gaming won't be possible.\

So opt for a Graphics card.Sapphire HD5670 512MB GDDR5 @ 5.1k will be ok for you

price of blue ray drive is around 10k.... its available in market, but may be hard to find....

and you should go with Biostar TA785G3 HD @ 4.3k in place of Motherboard: MSI 785GM-E51 @ 4.6k....

There are some Sony model available in India. Price is around 10k to 12k. But I don't think buying a Blue Ray drive is good decision now. Availability of Blue ray media in India is very poor and very costly. All you get is downloaded content (Yes, some 20 GB Blue Ray is available in torrent) or H264 blue ray rip. So don't go for a blue ray drive right now.

how about the configuration if i go for intel proc? any suggestions? is core 2 duo or core 2 quad is good enough to play hd content? and which MB i should go for ? Since AMD Athlon II 630 is a quad core proc, i can go for an intel quad core also ? is there a big performance diff?

Core2 series is EOL now. also support DDR2 memory. in future you won't get any support. so either AMD or sell out more to get i5 (which is a bit too costly). also AMD proccies is competitive with Core2 Intel proccies & newest Intel i-series (though not in gaming or heavy duty stuff). so will be able play HD video seamlessly.

ok for mobo get Biostar TA785G3 HD (4.3k) or MSI 785GM E65 (5.5-5.7k).

it uses Realtek ALC889 audio. which falls in its premium range. very good sound to say the least. get it. however don't have idea about speakers.
