Hi to All Digitains..

Im an Animation student -
I have Following Rig

CPU - AMD Phenom II 955 BE
Mothrbord - Asus M4A78T-E
Ram - 2X2 Gb DDR3 Ram
Graphics - HD 4870
PSU - 600W Cooler Master

I prefr to work in 3dsMax n Maya
I wanted To know that While Rendering A scene what my computer uses?
I mean My graphic card also enroll in rendering? or my processor handles it totally.?
- I heard from my frnd that its only processor based.. therefore i wanted to confrm..

And to Increase rendering Performance what should I do..??

ur graphic card takes load ..,

and for learning purposes nothing is needed to upgrade..

for working professionally lookout for

better procy and most importantly Graphic card

Professional cards not gaming cards..

quodro series from nvidia or fire series from ati

They are very expensive

I work on 3d platform for a long time and can confirm what ur friend said is right...

Proccy: Used when u render
GPU: used when u work on the Software

but i have heard that for complex rendering GPU is also used but for that u will need the Quadro GPU.. which is meant for 3d work
