Smile Maximum RAM support


Hi guys.


wanted to know maximum RAM i can put in my laptop -

dv5-1006- ax (HP).

currently, there's (2+1) GB in the lappy. Can i possibly put in (4+4) GB.

My OS is 64bit Windows 7.

Yes you can put 8GB that is the Max your notebook can have. You need to keep any 64bit version of windows for that, which you already have.

Had already gone thru the link u provided. This doesn't specify max ram i can use.

As a general rule, 64 bit Vista / Windows 7 wud support 8 GB ram , but i wanted to know whether there's any hardware constraint wrt dv6-1006ax.
