Default processor doubt


i would like to clear my biggest doubt-
will a core i5 750 beat phenom II x4 965 & 955?

unfortunately, yes. it'll beat. both 955 & 965 same fast as:
Core 2 Extreme QX6850, QX6800
Core 2 Quad Q9550, Q9450, Q9400
Core i5-650, -660, -661, -670

in games. also OC potential is lot more in the Intel chips.

but if a person wan't oc then?
what is the performance difference except in gaming?

AMD is the way to go for value for money and the phenom processors are quite good. they cost less than the i5

even then i5 better. but only i5 750. rest of the dual cores i5s are nonsense. you only get a faster graphics core. but with Phenom II's you free to choose between IGP & discrete graphics. so all these factors should be brought into consideration. before just going out & getting an i5.
