Upgrade within 10k?

Hi,
The Title says all. I already have decent SMPS+cabinet, monitor, speakers.. I need to upgrade the rest. I'm currently using sempron 2500+, I won't be gaming much. I just need a decent spec within 10k, soon, as I'll be buyin the system within 2-3days.
Plz suggest?

AMD Athlon II X2 240 - 2925
Gigabyte AMD 785G mobo - 4450
2GB DDR2 RAM - 2150
DVD Writer - 1100
250 GB HDD - 1725

Total comes to 12.5k... If you want closer to 10k, you can go for mobo based on nVidia 6100 or GF7025 chipset which cuts down cost by about 2k...

What abt Intel C2D 5400? I think its more OC friendly and gives better bang for bucks.

To the best of my knowledge, both perform reasonably similarly, but the amd mobos are more rich in features, esp with regard to gfx...
