My P4 3.0 Ghz HT processor fan making heavy noise when playing flash games

Guys,

Need ur help.

P4 3.0 Ghz HT processor

I am playing ZYNGA POKER on facebook and when i play it, my processor fan is running non stop and making heavy noise.

I have NVIDIA 8400GS 512MB graphics card as well,

what could be the problem ?

Although im not sure if this might be the problem. You could try cleaning out your PC making sure theres nothing obstructing the air flow within the cabinet hence making sure it isn't a cabinet issue. Although i still don;t see why it would make sounds only while you Play a flash game only :X

flash related things are cpu intensive , it happens on my pc also.

Open the cabby and Check the fan for dust and all.
Also how old is ur p4??
My P4(2 years back) started making noises after 2-3 years of use as well.

My PC is purchased in 2006. So its 4 years old now.
Clogged heat sink is the only reason ?

why dont you check it,mine is almost 6 yrs old.

I checked the heat sink. It seems to be OK. Should i dismantle the heat sink and clean it ?
