1)first try to fix bad sectors with checkdisk or any other utility.
2)defragment u r drive . This will reduce slowness.
3)if u partition is corrupted/not opening then use third party tool like Recuva ,GetDataBack for FAT/NTFS ,Active Partition Recovery ,Ontrack Easy Recovery Pro etc...

my suggestion for u would be using hiren's boot cd 10.2 http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd

Now, partitions not showing up is not a good sign. Try SystemRescueCD (www.sysresccd.org). If all fails and if the data is very important, take it to a local data recovery place.

+1

they generally charge per MB, rs 30 / MB or so

hirens boot cd is a list of s/w

find the ISO in prev month digit dvd.. very useful in such cases

Finally i recover most of my data using tool suggested above. But one problem is still there no one is recognize hdd more than 160 gb, remaining 200+ gb these s/w are showing blank unpartioned space . Is any s/w which recognize 400 gb? because i am sure last 200+ gb is not corrupted and these s/w even shows my c drive also which was badly corrupted .
In Active Partition Recovery there is no option to recover file/folder.
