which of these processors is better for gaming-
Phenom II X2 - 555 BE or Athlon II X4 - 630

surely X2 555. for now & for future as it'll unlock to X4 B55 proccy. present games prefer X2 & X3's whereas future games wil be optimized for quaddies.

Go for Phenom II 555BE. You can unlock it to Quad Core.

yeah... go with phenom x2 555be and unlock it to a quad.... that will be killer against a athlon x4 630...

is Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz a good choice?

the unlock chance is very high. if it doesn't unlock simply OC it. get a low cost HSF like CM Hyper TX3 or Skythe Katana3 & OC it to 3.8Ghz.

what about Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz

X4 925 sells for about 7k or maybe bit more. & its pricing is very close to X4 945. so my suggestion either X2 555 & unlock or X4 945. as forX2 555, it'll unlock. surely. X2 550 unlock rate was above 70%. X2 555 unlock rate should be more than 95%. & if it doesn't unlock u may lower the multiplier or upp the voltage or just try unlock 3rd core only (X3 B55). i can guarantee u, u'll get X3 B55 but if luck is good X4 B55.
