for a budget of 35k-50k, an Acer 5738z with HD4650 should be the best pick. Also, the after-warranty costs for Acer is lot less than that for Lenovo or Dell. I never really liked Compaq laptops and it's better to ignore them.

Pick Acer 5738z or Dell Inspiron

look yaar the best way to purchase a laptop is to visit the shop best in your area and then see what you like ..

all the laptops now a days are good ones..
all depends on your choice of looks..
dell's new inspiron 14" one is gud choice ..what I feel
just choose the asic config of inspiron and select windows home premium ..
no need to go for graphic card .. even 2 GB RAM and 250GM HDD is enough .. n moreover the looks of dell is stunning with metal finish compared to acer and lenovo's.

I like the Inspiron 14 too. 15.6" screens seem a bit bigger than necessary for a laptop IMO. Moreover, the new Inspiron 14 comes with 64-bit Windows 7. I am not aware of the graphics card included with those laptops though, because I don't play games.

There is one more difference between Inspiron 14 and 15. The DVD drive of Inspiron 14 is tray style, i.e. the tray comes out and you put the disc and push the tray in manually. In Inspiron 15, you just put the disc inside, no tray comes out. You cannot use those half-size discs with Inspiron 15 though.
