Laptop's DVD Drive as an external DVD Drive to Desktop?
Hi
I have a lenevo R 52 Laptop and I also have a Desktop PC (mainly used for gaming/internet/entertainment purpose). I want to use the DVD drive of the laptop as an external DVD Drive for my Desktop and want to install Windows 7 by using it. Can I do it? If yes, how?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Laptop's DVD Drive as an external DVD Drive to Desktop?
1st you need to know what type of interface your latop's dvd drive has - sata or pata ( ide ) ??
Then you need to buy a external case 5.25 inch ( external dvd drive case ) according to the interface of your lappys dvd drive.
You can hook the this external case by a usb cable with your pc and if your pc's bios supports booting from usb then configure the bios to boot from usb and you should be able to install windows 7.
