Cool Airtel Wi-Fi router and HD movies?

Just today after Saying Fu! to BSNL I've ordered my New Airtel Broadband connection with Airtel wi-fi router

Here are my Plan details

Home 599
Speed 256 Kbps unlimited
and some 200rs discount to bsnl coustmers for the next 5 monts (Savings 1K)
net installation +all =1500 and 1k savings

Now i was wondering weather the modem provided by Airtel is 802.11g or 802.11 b?

And second one

Can i watch HD movies transmitted over Wi-Fi to my HDTV .....and please tell me the cheapest hardware which required at hdtv's end to watch them?

as in above case i would require 802.11g router as its max band width is 54 Mega Bits/sec
HDTV quality Movie has a bit rate of 8-15 Mbps birate
and an HD DVD has arn 40 Mbps Bitrate

whilst 802.11b router has max band width 11Mbps

The router provided by Airtel is Wifi b/g. It will support 54mbps.

But, I never advise anyone to go Wifi ADSL routers given by BSNL, MTNL, Airtel etc. They suck according to me.

It is always better to buy your own even though that is expensive. I use Linksys WAG54G2 ADSL + Wifi Router btw.
