Suggest a good ups

Hi guys

I need a good ups for my i5 rig.

Currently i'm using an APC ES(500va),but is it safe to use it? I have seen in other posts of guys using 1100va ups for high end rigs.
Is this mandatory for the protection of components?

Please suggest?

APC 500VA should be just okay for now. Get a new UPS when you get Fermi.

@ Vicky: well, its NOPT about high rating UPSes, but its the thing with Active PFC rated PSUes and PURE/modified sine wave output UPSes

and since PURE SINE wave UPSes are available only in higher part of VA ratings, hence the reason.

But yes, a 500VA UPS will do gr8

I hope u knw wether ur PSU is an Active PFC type or no..

Yes its a corsair vx450 and it is active pfc type.

then go in for a Pure sine wave UPS..
