media player query

Hi,
I was playing a song in media player. In the same time i deleted(shift+del) the song by going to that file location in Explorer. But the song kept playing even after deleting it. how is it possible?

Its called caching or buffering the data before playing.

Its mostly cache in temp file.

Well whenever a song or video is playing for instance.. the whole song/video gets divided into several calculated parts. these parts play first. when a particular part reaches near end, the next part is recalled and the playback continues smoothly.
this reduces memory load.

B T W, you said that the song was playing.. which means windows was using that file. how come you were able to delete the song... you should have got some error.
