Dude , iball psu for 3k !! For that much you can get a corsair vx400 . Dont ever buy that iball crap Instead try to find the gigabyte 460 otherwise coolermaster extreme power + 460w will also be fine for your system . Get 9600gt ddr3 version instead of 4670 if you manage to find any good psu mentioned above and if not then you can go with 4670 .
One more thing , with the amount of money you are spending on motherboard and ram you can get a ddr 3 setup . Just buy a mobo with ddr 3 support and 2 gb ddr 3 ram and later you can add another 2 gb . Performance difference will be significiant . I am sure people in this forum will help you select a ddr 3 based mobo if you are interested .

Get 550BE or X4 620. Just 1k more.
Biostar TA785GE 128M - No need for this. You are going for a GPU so no point taking this. Save some and get TA785GE, around 0.8k less!
Zebby Bijli - 0.5k more.
Get 9600GT, better than HD4670.
Get Seagate 7200.12.

PSU or Cabinet?

If you cant get it from Delhi, get it online.

@fearless:

What are your comfortable and stretch budgets..! Please do not go by the 2-day timeline. If you rush, and in haste will purchase incorrect. There are many online options available.

Be patient, and we can help you get the best rig. Please tell your budget levels as asked.

i am giving u an optimized suggestion:

processor: Athlon II X4 620 @ 5k
M/B: MSI 785GM-E51 @ 4.6k (This is AM3 DDR3 Mobo, 4 ram slot (16GB Max) hence futureproof)
Ram: 2 GB Kingston 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 2.4k
HDD: Seagate 500GB 7200RPM @ 2.4k
Cabinet: any good cabinet with 2 120MM fan attached @ 0.8-1k
PSU: Zebronics 600W Pro @ 3.7k (good for middle end rigs)
Gfx Card:XFX 9600GSO 768MB DDR2 @ 4.2k (this is a special edition card, better than other 9600 GTs, having 96 stream processors, compared to the 64 of others)
Keyboard & Mouse: around 1.5k
Total: 24.8k
This is enough for a 17" CRT. For more future proof solution, wait some days and get a Radeon HD 5750 when its pricre will be within 7k.

^^ good suggestion , only you can cut cost by buying coolermaster or gigabyte 460w PSU for around 2.2k and get a 9800gt or HD4770 instead .
But for a 17' monitor the 9600gt is good enough .

I disagree with the PSU again. Much better is Cooler Master Real Power Pro 460W @ 3.5k, which can deliver up to 520-530W on load too. Also, it gives 80% or higher efficiency all the time, unlike the Zebronics PSU. Cheaper too.

^^ good suggestion , you can cut cost on cabinet if you buy any local one like zebronics bijli without smps for around Rs900 . With that unused money get yourself zotac or palit 9800gt Whch is better then 4670 .
What monitor do you have .
So my final rig is
Athlon II X4 620 or X2 550 BE if you are into overclocking @ 5k
MSI 785GM-E51 ~ 4.5k
2 GB Kingston 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 2.4k
Seagate 500GB 7200.12 or WD Blue 500GB @ 2.4k
Zebronics bijli without smps ~ 900
Palit or Zotac 9800gt 512mb @ 5.4k or sapphire 4670 @ 4.5k
Gigabyte 460W Superb @ 2.2k
The 9800gt will give you around 30% more performance with just addition of Rs 900 bucks . If you cannot strech you budget above 20k at all then do mention so that we may suggest accordingly but for the time beeing this are the best possible specs .

Yes, you can buy personally from Chandigarh of course. Find contact details from the website I provided.

DDR2 2GB is for 2.2k, which is ridiculous. It was 1.2k about 2 months ago. DDR3 will be more value for money, has a higher clock (1333MHz as opposed to 800MHz for DDR2), will be cheaper in the future so that you can upgrade when DDR3 RAM's are for around 1.2-1.5k for 2GB. There is absolutely no point in buying overpriced and outdated DDR2 now unless you want to have a headache upgrading your rig later while saving a measly amount today.

Yes, you can go to the shop. His website has the address. It offers direct retail. You save on shipping, plus see the tangible products.

Mid this year, I personally purchased ~65K of stuff, online from Lynx. I can vouch for it.

For 22k go with the hardware i have mentioned above . For a 17' monitor the 4670 is good enough but the 9800gt will be a better option for just Rs 800 more . With 9800gt your total budget will be around 22.5-23 k but is worth the more money . If you cant spent that much then go with the sapphire 4670 but it wont handle monitors above 19' that well .
You can directly go to lynx shop which is somewhere in chandigarh , i have not visited since i only purchased from lynx online and i am from mumbai BTW . You can find the address on their website .

why i need to spend 10000 on mobo + proc i save money here and get better gc that can resist more months
i need config for gaming latest games (even low settings is ok no prob with me)
gc is going to be outdated well before processor
a dual core 3 ghzlike athlon 2 x2 250 will be able to handle any game in 3 yrs as no game except gta4 demand core speed more than 2.0ghz on a dual core till now
but 512mb graphic card will be outdated and 4 gb ddr2 ram is sufficient for 3 yrs.
after 3 yrs who god knows what will be trend????

@fearless:
It seems all our suggestions were useless to you right. Then please go ahead what you thought off, when you opened this thread. You seem to have it all worked out -- including what will handle what -- for the next three years.

You seem to be happy with products from iBall, Biostar -- well go ahead. I would never buy from here. People instead recommended reputable stuff like MSI, Gigabyte.

And the HD4670, you are so satisfied about. It can hardly move games as of now. Three years down the line, it will render similiar to a slide show.

And please, next time type your sentences in proper syntax. You seem to have an issue understanding where a (.) and carriage return should be placed in proper, syntax correct english.

DDR2 is overpriced as of now. 2.2k for 2GB 800MHz DDR2 is BS. Best get DDR3 at similar price. It will make a difference of about a thousand bucks more now if you opt for DDR3. Much more saved in the future. If the Chip guys suggested iball smps for gaming, then I'm not sure if you should be going there. At best go for the tri core in your first post and save money there. Else, we have given you the config. Its up to you now. Save money today and spend much more later or spend a little more today and save a lot later.

For decent graphics card, have a look at 4850 512MB @ 6.7k or GTS250 512MB @ 7.1k or 9800GT @ 5.5k

gc is going to be outdated well before processor
a dual core 3 ghzlike athlon 2 x2 250 will be able to handle any game in 3 yrs as no game except gta4 demand core speed more than 2.0ghz on a dual core till now
but 512mb graphic card will be outdated and 4 gb ddr2 ram is sufficient for 3 yrs.
after 3 yrs who god knows what will be trend????
If you want this system to last for 3 years then you should definetly go with our suggested system , even if it costs you 1-2k more , you wont regret it after a year . you can add another 2 gb ddr 3 ram . Their prices will halve in coming 6-8 months and ddr 2 prices will double and also the performance difference is high . If you think x250 can handle the games for 3 years then you are wrong .
It is not about the CPU or ram but about the platform . In early 2007 i spend about 18k on 7600gt agp card , ddr 1 ram and 3.2ghz p4 socket 478 when i had the chance of shifting to a new platform like ddr2 , pci 16x and lga775 socket which would have costed only little more but i didnt . I still regret that dicision and last year in november i had to sell all my parts since it hardy played any new games well enough and you dont want to know what resale value i got .
Again its your decision so buy carefully and dont do the same mistakes that others have commited .

+1 or Krow’s Suggestion. That seems to be the most balanced and VFM rig.
