Which 2.5" HDD ?

This week i am buying a external Hard Drive (2.5").My budget is 3k.so, pls suggest some gud brands & capacity available in 3k.....how much GB will i get in 3k...?

Q: My friend has bought new xternal HDD of Hitachi (80GB)..but he is saying is not formattable..coz he is gettin "Disk not initialized"...he has Windows 7.he is saying he will try 2 format it in Windows XP...what is problem? Moreover whenever we connect a brand new HDD to usb wont we get the Drive ICON in my computer? He is getting an icon as Disk1 ....
