Need Laptop and Desktops<4 a small company>

Hi ppl........
My dad wants to set up a small buisness .....he needs a laptop<personel use> and 5 desktops<basic ms office...xp...internet>
Budget ; Laptop;30-35k
Desktops;17k<each>

for laptop i need Win 7 Support ...Basic internet...good battery backup and movie watching
for dektop i need Lcd<if possible> and other stuff....

for laptop, Dell Inspiron with c2d is now available for some 37k. also you can check Acer Aspire 5738

For Desktop at 17k, AMD assembled PCs are really good

Here goes the config

1. Processor: Athlon II X2 240 2.8GHz @ 2.8k
2. Motherboard: Biostar A785GE @ 3.6k (integrated HD 4200 Shared Graphics, no sideport memory)
3. Ram: Kingston 2 GB DDR2 800 MHZ @ 2.3k
4. HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB @ 2.5k
5. Cabinet: Zebronics Bizli@1.5k with inbuilt PSU
6. Dsiplay: Samsung 17" LCD monitor @ 5k (Approx) [Not sure]
7. keyboard/Mouse: anything @ 0.6k

total is 18.3k. But there is a high chance that you get them in less price in street.

And for Laptop, @ 37k, go for the Acer or HP Compaq. There are some Asus laptop available at this price with C2D 5750, 2GB Ram and 3470 Graphics card. Check that also.

And Intel Dual core is the worst performer of all the dual core processors. Its performance is even poorer than normal Athlon X2 Processors. Athlon II X2s are far better performer than any Du

No, C2D will not "be better". For basic office needs, the AMD build suggested is good enough. It is great value-for-money. You can easily get a DVD-ROM for 1.2-1.3K.
