Default Rig for video editing

My friend needs a rig for video editing purposes. Its a movie of around an hour or so that he is making. His budget is 50k max. I suggested the following config to him :

Intel Core i5 750 @ 10.5k

Gigabyte P55M-UD2 @ 7.5k
Palit GTS 250 @ 7.3k
2x2GB DDR3 @ 5k
AOC Fovi F22 @ 8.8k OR Samsung 2233SW or Dell S2209W @ 9.5k
GlacialPower GL650W @ 4.5k or Antec EA650W @ 4.8k or Corsair 650TX @ 7k
Cooler Master CM690 Cabinet @ 4.5k
1TB Seagate 7200.12 @ 4k or 1TB WD Caviar Green @ 4k

Please suggest good speakers and comment on the above rig. He needs good after sales service as he stays in Bhopal and can't run around for RMA.

Since this rig is not falling in budget, could you guys help out in making it do so. Monitor could be used to cut costs i suppose.

replace GTS250 with FireGL or nvidia Quadro. there are lot of these cards avialble inside 8k and they are optimized for 3D stuff.

My pick would be Dell or samsung for LCD

HDD: go for WD Blue

speakers:

Logitech X-540
AL MX-5021
AL VS4121
Edifier C3

4 GB RAM is not enough if he has the budget to upgrade
if he wants to converts VHS to VCD DVD then he needs a
Pinnacle Video Capture Card Priced at near about 7 Thousand

instead of 1TB go for 750+520
speakers creative 2.1 rs.1200/- will be good

yeh sab mere vichar hai
wait until someone correct you or me

No 3d stuff for him. Purely Premiere pro CS4. I think CUDA should help him. Hence I suggested the GTS 250. Any idea about the price of Palit GTS250 SONIC?

Not that much money remaining. Plus he is not an audiophile. A decent 2.1 setup will do. I think he will buy this locally.

Yes, he will upgrade to 8GB, but later, when he has some cash after selling his old rig.
No, the conversion will be done outside.

Thanks for suggestion, but 1TB will be cheaper for him. Also, he has an internal 250GB HDD for OS and a 1TB MyBook Essential Edition for backup.

Unfortunately, he is an Adobe fan and used to it, so I don't think he'll make the switch. Thanks for your suggestion though. I'll tell him to test it.
