USB not working with Kbd or Mouse

I have assembled a new PC with Gigabyte motherboard. Strangely the mouse and keyboard work only with the front panel USB ports and not the rear USB ports. Other devices like Pendrive, etc work fine with all the ports. Any idea what could be the problem?

Which motherboard? Do pendrives or other USB based devices work with the rear slots? If not, then try contacting Gigabyte support. Worst case may be that there will be a fault in the rear ports. You will get a replacement for that.

By default, in gigabyte mobos, USB K/B and Mouse are disabled. You need to go to BIOS and enable them.

Go to BIOS -> Integrated Peripherals and change the settings.

yeah. I faced the same problem and whenever I reset BIOS, I need to change these settings. Donno why
