System Upgrade--Help me !!!!

hey all.. I would like to have a configuration of either 2 or 3 GB RAM for my Gateway Laptop MX 6926b and Upgrdation for my hard disk..

my system details :

Windows Vista 32 Bit

• Currently Installed Memory: 512MB always system is slow..

• Available Memory Slots: 0
• Total Memory Slots: 2
• Dual Channel Support: Yes
• CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
• CPU Family: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T1350 @ 1.86GHz Model 14, Stepping 8
• CPU Speed: 800 MHz

You already have a laptop which you want to upgrade or you want to buy a new laptop?

addition of 2Gb RAM should be enough and then upgrade to windows 7 which is lot less resource hungry (release october 22nd)!

For anything on a laptop would suggest you talk to your customer care support first. I suspect that you have an old laptop coz 512MB of initial RAM came around 3 years ago! Am i right?
