Please help me buy-Display-Monitor cum TV

Hello,
I need a monitor and a TV for my personal use.
Is it better to have a 21" monitor and TV tuner card or a TV which has a VGA port which can be used as monitor too.
What is your take on LG 22" LCD Monitor TV which is released recently. It costs about 16000. Also, LG 22" TV costs around the same, which can be used as a monitor too.
I am confused. Please advice which would be best buy. Thanks in advance.

@raghu-RAM, Looks like 22" Monitor-cum-TV is at same price as a 21" or 25" LCD TV.

I would prefer buying an LCD TV over monitor as you can use it as monitor too.

Depends on how you use it!!

even samsung has similar model , it is series4 model LA22A450C1 which is 22"tv with vga, component, av input & picture in picture. It costs around 16k

Not sure how much a 22" LCD TV costs. but I'm using LG M227WA Monitor TV and it cost around Rs.14500/-. It has an advantage of inbuilt TV-Tuner also it has 2 HDMI, DVI and DVI-D Sub port you can watch TV and work on your computer at the same time. If I'm not late just have a look at it. It may suits your requirements.

22" LCD TV costs around 15k (price that I saw in Croma for Sony's LCD)
