I also need information about laptops for my father, he would buy it from Omen, I have two models in mind one is based on AMD Turion 64 X2 (2.1GHz) & another one is based on Intel C2D 1.73 GHz which one would be better???

1> HP Pavilion DV5-1201AU
2> HP Pavilion dv2713TU (KP133PA)

IMO HP DV6 1154tx is available in India with this similar config. And It's around 65K.

Can you specify your budget?

Within these 2 models, go with the intel one. Coz Intel is having good background in mobile processors then AMD.

My budget is about ~40K

Go with Dell Inspiron 15 model. Costs around 36K.

Pros
1) Very good build
2) Core 2 Duo T6500
3) 720p screen
4) Optional Blu ray (But you will have to add more 5K for that)
5) Optional GFX HD4330 (But you will have to add more 4K for that)

Cons
1) Not for gaming
But of course you should not expect gaming laptop in 40K

And one more thing, If you can stretch your budget to 45-47K, then there's one lappy called HP pavillion DV6 1110ax.
It's equipped with ATI mobility radeon HD4650 graphics card. And AMD 2.2 GHz processor. It's a best buy within 50K budget for gaming laptop.
