Default Re: Intel Mobo/chipset+processor combo

Posted 8 hrs back and still no reply .... So much for the Intel Cores..

Mate, you gotta mention your budget first - then ask for suggestion! So that it'll be easy for us to tell the recommendation apt for the budget.

Gigabyte - EG43M-S2H - 5350 PLUS E7500 - 5670 (FYI, AMD X4 9650 @ jus 6050 performs better than this)

ABIT IP35/ P45 Neo3-FR V2 - 6825 PLUS E8400 - 8,815 (OR) Q8400 - 8950 (FYI, AMD's X4 810 @ 8350 performs better than E8400) PLUS PALIT 9600GT(512)/8600GT(256mb)

P45 Neo3-FR V2 - 6825 PLUS Q9550 - 11,787 PLUS PALIT 9600GT (512) / 8600GT (256)

Note the last two mobo has no integrated graphic processor - so u need a video card to get the display to monitor.

If you browse through the internet you'll get lots of recommendation for AMD - that's because they perform equally good as INTEL or better than INTEL at a little lower price.

But I'd personally go for INTEL just like you.

One more thing - Difference between dual cores and quad cores (both AMD 'n' INTEL)
DUAL cores have higher clock speed (>2.6) and performs better in games and other applications that doesn't make use of 4 cores completely or efficiently)

QUAD cores have little lower clock speed and performs way better than DUAL cores if the apps make use 4 cores.
