Lightbulb Its time to upgrade..........!!!

I dont have much knowledge of hardware, so asking u guyz for a decent upgrade to my current system........

Current config. :
Intel P4 3.0 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache
Mercury motherboard Intel chipset PI945GZD
1GB RAM DDR-II 667MHz
Seaget HD 160 GB
625VA UPS
Graphic support: 128MB onboard graphics (dont even count it)

Least requirement:
processor : Core2duo
atleast 2GB RAM
another 160 GB HD
A gud graphic card. (I'm not a hardcore gamer, plays occasionally for fun)

Plz suggest the upgradation and if possible quote prices with exact model no., and make it as cheap as possible. Add power supply and the hardware which i left urself.

Im from delhi and if anyone know Nehru Place prices quote them. One more thing, will i get discount if i replace my old hardware with new one, say, core2duo against P4 3.0
I'll confirm abt my SMPS and will tell u soon.

Thnx guyzzzz

tell about your budget for making suggestions. people will give u proper stuff.
C2D proccies are 5K+
Beside how long can you live without upgrading to a new system.(considering release of new AM3 boards and intel core i5 and all)

you need casual computing than hardcore gamer or high professional.
your mobo supports DDRII 667, which means its certainly a 775 chipset mobo.
so u can just go for a proccy + RAM + GPU upgrade

I hope E5200 be compatible for the mobo (how old is your mobo) buy 2 sticks of 2GB DDR2 667 FSB(if it has 2 DIMM slots otherwise 3 sticks of 1GB 667 FSB making total of 4GB RAM) + HD4670, will do alot good. then maybe when you think you can go for bigger upgrade maybe 1-2 years latter.

I want to make this deal as cheap as possible with satisfying my minimum requirements.
