Guys, got the PC.

BTW does anyone here have a Asus P5K PL CM? My built in Via sound card isn't working in Vista 64 bit. Any ideas?

Even the Vista standard drivers don't seem to work.

^ Ignore this. A fresh install of audio drivers did it.

its M4A78T-E (model uses the 790GX chipset) its a AM3 Socket

What to do???

Ram - Transcend 2X2 Gb (DDR 3 Speed-1333)
Graphic card - XFX HD4870 (512 mb DDR5)
Power Supply - Cooler master 600W
HDD - 500 Gb Seagate
Rom- Samsung DVD-RW 22x

go for Cooler Master Elite 330 for 2k (if you can find it) else Zebronics Reaper without PSU for less than 2k.

What is the price of M4A78T-E BTW? It's a pretty good board and worth only if you can get it inside 9k. And if you are not going to use Crossfire, you better get a cheaper 770G board or wait for 785G motherboards.

I wouldn't suggest the entry level Transcend DDR3 if you are going to overclock the RAM and when you do CPU overclocking (by increasing HT speed), you may have to downclock the RAM frequency to keep it stable (which is not a big thing anyways)
