Suggest a Laptop under 30k
Hi,
Suggest a good laptop under 30k (not even 30.1  ) budget for one of my friends. I found ACER's newly launched eMachine D725 for Rs. 28k. It comes with 14.1" Screen, dual-core Intel Pentium T4200 processor with dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB HDD, 8x DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive and integrated 'low-luminance enhanced' webcam, touch pad pointing device and quick launch keys.
Any more suggestions!!

Asus X83vb-x1 for 29990/. Since Acer doesn't have reliability rating reported by many that I chosen this model from asus. Real value for bucks.

Another ACER Model i found good is Aspire 5536@30K. The details are:
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 2.1 GHz, 1Mb L2 Cche and AMD M 780G Chipset, 2 GB DDR II, 320 Gb HDD, 15.6" WXGA LCD, 8x DVDRW, ACER Crystal Eye Camera, Bluertooth, Card Reader, Modem, LAN, etc...
It comes with a free gift scheme. One can choose from :
1. 250 GB External HD
2. External USB DVD Writer
3. Hi-Speed USB Internet Dongle
But the catch is that one has to pay Rs. 999 extra to get any of these. What you say guys!!

looks like a good deal..btw where you get this price..it should be more than 37k as listed in some sites.

Got it from the local ACER Mall... 
He quoted Rs. 30750 but finally he came down to Rs. 30250...We've to decide whether to go for it or not...

There is an another AMD based notebok @28.5k
but RAM is 1GB, 160GB HD, 14.1" Screen..so for another 1.5k one can get Aspire 5536..

what about intel config based on T6400 proccy(or T4200 do not remember), its pric is also sub 30K, this is what I saw in advertisements in newspaper. Since last week I have checked Acer have given quiet a few ads in newspapers with prices of very good intel config based laptops in less than 30K

Finally my friend has settled with the ACER Aspire 5536 machine+Microsoft Optical Mouse @30k.
He was not interested in spending an another Rs. 999 to get the 250 gb portable Hard disk which was under some gift scheme by ACER. So i opted for it.

Its just excellent...watching HD movies is a treat...I would rate it higher than the similar priced laptops...
