Default Suggest me a Monitor

I have a 5yr old compaq 15" CRT which is counting last days of his life... the screen has reduced and it becomes yellowish...sometimes.

I m thinking to get it repaired if it cost less (bcoz the system wud be used for 4months more and then i wud leave for mysore in Nov). But if the repair cost is high or if its completely dead then what shud i buy ?

As it wud not be used regularly so i m not thinking to invest much ?? Which one shud i go for CRT or LCD ??

Another thing is that I am having 600VA Microtek UPS.So do i need to change it ???

1) Go for another second hand monitor.
2) Get a 15" LCD for 5k or 16" for 5.5k

repairing the CRT wont be much good. CRT monitors cost less u can even get a second hand 17 inch CRT in less than 2K or something, repair cost can only be found if u send it to the service center. my compaq system is also 3-4 year old, the 17 inch monitor hasnt given me any problem.
