Is Phenom 2 940 black edi (8mb,3ghz) better than Q9550?
And 790 gx got crossfire and internal graphics... I dont need both...
Samsung 2233 semms good...
doubt b/w 500 W CoolerMaster @2850 and Corsair vx 450 psu @ 4k!!!
Is crosair 800 mhz better than kingston 800???
1 gb 4870 seems right for GPU?
And one more thing...

Re: Gaming PC @ 60 K... HELP HELP
i7 would require abt 15k more than above config. Actually that config he gave is abt the best you can get for your budget. For psu being such important part of config, get either corsair 450w or if going for coolermaster, get cm 460 real power with 5 years warranty.
Also you can get zotac gtx 260 core 216 for 10.5k which is very much comparable to 4870 1gb, if not crossfiring in near future.

Re: Gaming PC @ 60 K... HELP HELP
Refined:
P2 940 B.E. 3GHz @ 11k
Biostar TA790GXB 128M @ 5.8k
Kingston 2*2GB DDR2 800MHz @ 2k
NZXT Alpha Cabinet @ 3.2k
Corsair VX550W @ 5.8k
Logitech/MS kbd+mouse combo @ 1k
Samsung 2233SW 21.5" FULL HD @ 10k
DVD Writer @ 1.2k
PowerColour HD4890 1GB GDDR5 @ 15k
Total = Rs. 55,200
This is an excellent rig, and we already know the OC potential of HD4890.
And u can add a gamepad + UPS and choose a gaming mouse/kbd and it will still come way under 65k, if not 60k.

Re: Gaming PC @ 60 K... HELP HELP
for Harddisk:- put 2 HD is Raid-0 for maximum perfomance, and put 3rd hardisk for backup.
(ultimate bandwith for data processing) .. what happens is in Raid-0 you have 2GD working as one and that divides the data tranfer between the two. you can copy the dta, songs and movies faster. and for playing games the processing is way faster. like from 50mb/s to 100mb/s .. dual bandwith.. and some people say its not safe it may crash.. so in case you want protection put the more capacity harddisk for your data.. simple. you have a budget to do this. many people dont opt for this because its expensive. but for a gaming config for 65k its worth going for that ways..
may be like this .. 2*250GB (wondows/linus OS) + 500GB(data)
or 160GB*2(OS with games) + 1TB(data-songs movies)
you have around 8 Sata Ports... make use of them

Which is what
My Type of CONFIG is as much as same as COMP@DICT's rig
But some changes
AMD P 2 940
ASUS M3A78-EM [cause biostar boards r not stable wen it comes to overclocking]
CORSAIR 2 X 2GB 800Mhz
PALIT GTX 275 SP216 SONIC
COOLER MASTER 600WATTS EXT power
SAMSUNG T220 22"inch LCD looks like TV gr8 -[ cause as for gaming dont go for HD monitor i got resolution problem while playing games @ that resolution of 1920 X 1080 totally wide
1680 x 1050 would better ]
make 2 WD 500GB HDD
Get any good cabinet with 2 K - iball cabinets r good check out the workhorse cabinet
Logitech g15 gaming mouse
logitech KEYBORD
This is my type of config which i truly saw the performance , but i dont the performance of HD 4890 so how much its compared to GTX 275 sonic , both priced @ same !!

Go for a 1TB Seagate Barracude 7200.12 @ 5.7k or so.

Dude, change to this:
PowerColour HD4890 1GB GDDR5 @ 15k
Corsair VX550W @ 5.8k
GTX 275 and CM600W is a BIG NO-NO. And Palit GTX275 SONIC costs about 4k more than HD4890, and the price isn't really justified, especially when HD4890 has
-more OC potential,
-an excellent reference cooler
-much lesser power consumption(lesser than HD4870)

Re: Gaming PC @ 60 K... HELP HELP
I think for 60k, its time to move to DDR3 area
Phenom II 955BE 3.2GHz@ 13k
MSI 790FX-GD70 790FX/SB750 AM3@11.8k
Transcend 2 x2 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz @3.6k
2x MSI HD 4770 in Crossfire@13.2k
1 TB Seagate SATA 32mb Cache @5k
Colorsit 600Watt PSU @1.8k
Zebronics Krish@1k
Microsoft Keyboard/Mouse Combo @0.6k
Samsung 2233SW 21.5 Full HD@10k
Total is just 60k. May be street price is little less.
This configuration will provide u enough firepower to take any of the games in full charge. Phenom 955 is a hell of an Overclocker.
2 4770 in crossfire is actually beating both 4890 and GTX280 in almost all the games as well as in 3D mark scores.
SO go and unleash the Beast.
And thanks to Compdigit for his latest RAM price update.

Re: Gaming PC @ 60 K... HELP HELP
Go 4 d AMD solution as it is much more VFM. Get the HD4890 as suggested by compaddict. Get a gr8 SMPS as it is the most ignored, yet the most imp part in ur config. A crappy PSU can kill all ur performance! Go 4 d VX550W @ 5.8k. It is crossfire ready too! Its the best in its class and also a lil' above! Get DDR2 or DDR3, whichever suits ur budget. If possible, get the WD Caviar Green 1TB(5k) for backup(not Seagate!) as it is very power efficient and very stable, and get a smaller drive for ur OS. Buy the CM-690 cabby. Its just awesome!!!:-P
On second thoughts, I vouch for compaddict's config + the WD 1TB. If budget permits, you can even look at the Gigabyte GA-MA-790GP-UD4H mobo @ 8.5k.

I will not vouch for this one. Better get atleast CM-590 for 3.8k if you want to overclock and have better cooling. The new CM Gladiator 600 is also very good and it's price is under 4k.
Rest all configuration is fine until you want to extend 2-3k more and get a better motherboard, most preferably Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H.

1st raid can be setup on two similar hdd, just put them in same ports like 0-1 or 2-3, read the manual on ur board for easy setup how to-
2ndly, if you use the pc just for fun like gaming and music then there is no issue
3rdly, even if u use it for above purpose or use the pc for important office work , then simply put 2rd hdd in non raid, so that can keep the data as backup simple. noissues.
4thly, if you upgrading.. keep the current drive as backup, and use 2new 500gb hdd in raid-0 that makes ur primary hd is 1TB for OS and gaming. use the current hd for keeping data and backup.

Re: Gaming PC @ 60 K... HELP HELP
I suggested DDR3 becoz, if u look at the hardware industry, u will find out, it is mainly driven by Intel's requirement and it was when even intels' processors r below performer than AMD. Could u gus remember, how they phased out DDR by DDR 2 statndard becoz their Pentium Dswere needing more speed.
U can expect, same kind of thing is gonna happen within next 1 or 2 yrs when their Core I7 will become Mainstream processors. So DDR II may be in the same position in near future, where DDR is now a days.
Now 60k is a lot of money. So being a little futureproof will always make sense.
