It got me wondering whether i should buy an external HDD requiring power supply or go with WD's Passport drives.. Any comments on which one would be better? Please mention how reliable both can be cause everyone HATES having a disk crash!! Technical issues are also welcome to be discussed

1) WD passport drives are external 2.5" HDDs and not SSDs
2) internal HDD will always be lot faster but external HDD will be handy to take with you to friends place etc.

Buy an internal 3.5" HDD, and a casing. Make a portable drive yourself.
SSDs are way too expensive to even consider.
