Help! Audio Playback Problem

Hi guys, i have started facing a peculiar problem today. When playing Mp3s thru Media Monkey, they is intermittent lag (the song pauses for a fraction of a second randomly, every few seconds). I tried various different songs....
What could be the problem?? its really giving me a headache....
My rig is in my siggy...

the problem seems to have been resolved. two seperate usb mice were connected to the pc. removing one of them did the trick!
