Default Choices for an external HDD


Sorry for creating a new thread but i need some urgent suggestions by the end of the day.i'll be buying an external PORTABLE hdd(without need for a power supply)of 500gb tomorrow.which brand should i go for?i have rs7000 with me.will i get only usb powered or firewire also at this price?

thanx for replying.how about transcend? i am getting a 500gb transcend at rs6150/-...should i buy it?it has usb only(no firewire)..will i get WD with firewire within rs 6500/-?
