No display PC powers on

Whenever i switch on my computer there is no display no beeps but the processor fan and hard disk are spinning. Also i can open the DVD writer. When i press the reset switch the hard disk dvd starts again but still no display. What could be the problem.
Mercury 845 gl motherboard, intel celeron processor

Same problem arise 4 me few days ago.m using 845 intel motheboard...I go to h/w repair shop & he says that some type of Bios chip was fail & it wil take arund rs 600 /- for repair.....

check your RAM if they are ok them it may be your graphics chip.
